<p><span style="font-size: medium;">About the Job:</span></p>
<p>You will be our first salesperson. (that's right, profitable with a small team and we have no salesperson on staff)&#160; Your goal will be to grow our paid subscriber base, focusing on our $100-$1000 / month subscription plans.</p>
<ul>
    <li>Call on clients who signed up for a free trial and new paid subscribers to walk them through the product and showcase paid features.</li>
    <li>Call on customer prospects from our pre-built database of leads that are similar to existing paying customers.  i.e. - you won't have to find your own leads - and as the first sales rep, we've already got a CRM database full of them for you to call on</li>
    <li>We charge our customers using credit cards, so you won&#8217;t have to deal with invoices and long collection cycles to get paid.</li>
    <li>As the first salesperson, we&#8217;ll be looking for you to provide feedback, helping to improve the product and contributing to a repeatable process.</li>
    <li>We&#8217;d  prefer to start you out on an hourly rate + commission as a consultant to get to know you, but our goal is for you to become an employee with an equity stake in the business</li>
    <li>You&#8217;ll have the opportunity to work 1 on 1 with a <a href="http://www.linkedin.com/profile?viewProfile=&amp;key=3512">been there / done that entrepreneur</a></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Requirements:</span></p>
<ul>
    <li>You are looking for - and are up for - a <b><i>challenge</i></b>.&#160; You want to work with great people on a great project with great upside potential</li>
    <li>You hold a bachelors degree from a 4 year college</li>
    <li>You have a minimum of 3 years of sales experience. Much more experience would be fine, but we aren't looking for a manager-type.</li>
    <li>You love working with customers: listening to them, building relationships and solving problems.  You are a salesperson first, but you have a very strong customer service &amp; customer success orientation.  If we were to ask you for customer references you&#8217;d offer a long list of people who just *gush* about how great you are</li>
    <li>You have a track record of turning leads into paying customers and selling over the phone</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Nice to have:</span></p>
<ul>
    <li>Experience working as one of the first salespeople at a startup</li>
    <li>Experience selling web based  software technology products - and you want to keep doing so</li>
    <li>Experience running demos of software over the web as part of a sales process</li>
    <li>Experience selling into small and medium sized organizations</li>
    <li>A strong technology affiliation.  You pay attention to what&#8217;s new in tech, and have an innate desire to understand how things work.</li>
    <li>Metrics oriented and detail driven</li>
    <li>You can work onsite in our (nice) office in San Francisco, CA some of the time. (someone who works remotely most or all of the time is fine though)</li>
